Welcome Back!

It's been a long year since we blogged last...

What a year!

We'll work to update what our portion of the world was like the Covid-19 pandemic. Let's just say that it brought new meaning to the "Adventures of Kelly, Adam & Jack".

But first, let's catch up on life lately. There is a cute little ice cream stand located between our old condo in Roger's Park and our current house. We have driven by numerous times over the years. We even stopped once to see if they sold snow cones (why is it so hard to get a decent snow cone in Chicago?) Anyways, they don't so we left. Anyway, we made it a point to go there last weekend. And it was DELICIOUS! It's called the Dairy Star. Apparently, the operating family bought this place from Dairy Queen over 40 years ago.  And it is ranked in the TOP FIVE soft serve ice cream places in Illinois. We could have been going there all this time but the lack of snow cones did us in. But, Jack seems to approve- really that is all that matters.
Also, we spent a lot of time during the pandemic at Polly's place in Grand Beach, Michigan. Consider yourself warned! There are lots of posts from here to come. Unfortunately, the beach isn't so grand anymore (Lake Michigan is super full now) but Jack doesn't seem to mind.
