Nice and cold in Chicago- Just the way Bailey likes it!
Black eyed peas and cornbread, a must on New Years Day.  Did you know that the tradition of eating black eyed peas for prosperity in the new year is of Jewish origins?  Southerners adopted the tradition from Jewish immigrants in the 1700's.
Los Nopales in Lincoln Square.  This is the Carne a la Panela (skirt steak and fried cheese!)
The Kitsch'n in Roscoe Village.  We dined on homade chicken noodle soup and balsalmic reduced onions on a grilled cheese.
