Wellfleet, Cape Cod
Marconi Area (formerly known as the Marconi Site)
We took a day trip to the upper Cape to visit the Marconi area. Did you know that the Titanic's SOS signal was first received here? Unfortunately, the last of the Marconi station washed into the north Atlantic in 2014 so there isn't really anything to see but the sea.
The Marconi Beach is cool though!
Jack & Grand Dad!
This trip, Jack really wanted to "go beach" as often as possible.
After Wellfleet, we visited the Chatham Light.
It was quite foggy when we arrived-
But luckily, the fog cleared up for us to enjoy Chatham's amazing beach.
Hoorah!
If the Cape is described as an arm then Chatham is the elbow. There are many shoals around this part of the Cape that protect the beaches from the ocean waves.
