Spring Time

Mr. Bay is really enjoying the yard this Spring.  It's actually pretty nice this time of year as the 'burbs are significantly warmer than the city.  As the saying goes, "it's cooler by the lake." This was a great quote for us in the heat of the summer when we lived in Rogers Park. But not so much in the winter and spring.  Lately, we've enjoyed warm days, cool nights & heavy rains.  April showers bring May flowers (or April flowers thanks to an abundance of sunshine)!
 This is Buttermilk in Geneva.
We wanted to try this place out for breakfast for some time and today we did it.  We tried to eat here a few weeks ago but the wait times were more than our hunger could bear.
As you can see, this Geneva hot spot did not disappoint!
 The Fox River.
Kelly rolls across this river on her way to Dekalb.
Check out the tree in our front yard!  This was one of Kelly's favorite things about the house last spring when we first looked at it. It's pink & white- can you also see the pink tulips in the flower bed? It's one of the first things you notice when you pull into the drive.
Here's a closer view. They don't last long but they sure are pretty!
