It's a beautiful day for baseball!
The city is a buzz this summer for the Cubs as this could be the year.
Did you know that the Cubs have one of the best teams in baseball? (At least on paper) The roster is full of the top prospects in the league as well as a new top notch Manager.
We blogged over the winter about the Cub's 1060 project. (Wrigley Field's address is 1060 W. Addison) With the harsh winter, they were unable to complete the project on time for opening day. The new outfield bleachers are still under construction with the hopes of being ready for June. They did manage to get one of the jumbotron's installed.
This is the other jumbotron under construction. They are quite controversial as they really change the feel of the century old ball park, not to mention they are blocking the views of the rooftops around the outfield.
Eamis Catuli is Latin for let's go cubs! (on the building in the center of this pic) The numbers mark the historic futility of the Cubs meaning it's been 7 years since they won their division, 70 years since they won the National League and 107 years since they won the World Series...
Our beloved Cubs were bested today by the Brewers. There is always tomorrow, and the next day, and the next and so on...
