One of our favorite produce stores, Stanley's on North & Elston, had a sale on strawberries. 8 pounds for a dollar. Naturally, homemade strawberry ice cream was a must. But, we have been wanting to try canning for awhile now and the case of strawberries finally pushed us over the edge. After a few hours on Sunday, we successfully "canned" strawberry jam.
