Spring.

Spring is something special in Chicago.  It is truly a tumultuous tug of war between the seasons of winter and summer.  Lake Michigan can be clear of ice one day and covered with a flotsam of ice the next.
One our favorite places is closing...
The Angel Food Bakery on Montrose Ave.  They make the most perfect angel food cake, brownie and lemon squares in the known universe.  Not to mention the commuter sandwich of figs, brie & prosciutto! We will certainly miss this popular brunch spot.
Our weekend also included a trip to Eataly in River North.  Their sister store is in NYC and is quite the tourist attraction.  We actually really enjoyed the crowded craziness of this place.  We had a nice afternoon of their amazing foccacia and beers.
A nice dinner at one of our favorites!  Another River North treasure, RPM.  We are enamored with the fresh ricotta!
50's & sun along the lake front today.  It has been quite the winter this year (as documented on earlier blog posts..)  we are hopeful for an upcoming great summer!
