Winter, 2012. It seems that every other Friday in Chicago it snows. Last Friday was no different except we only had 3" instead of the usual 6".

Water temperatures along the shoreline of Lake Michigan are around 33 degrees this time of year. Depending on lake currents, the water can freeze as far as the eye can see.

On Saturday we headed over to the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The Dank Haus is the German American Cultural Center for Chicago. Avid readers of this blog might remember our visit to the Irish American Heritage Center for Polly's birthday party a few years ago.

The Cultural Center was all a buzz for the "pop up" vintage bazaar. Kelly picked up a nice caramel colored wool coat and Adam got a neat, odd & old wooden tool box.

We enjoyed lunch during the Bazaar at Antique Tacos. Kelly enjoyed the battered fish tacos with pickled slaw & Adam decided on the spicy chicken tacos with pickled cucumbers and jalapenos.
