Shaw

This is a view from John's acreage. We actually saw 2 bald eagles by this beach!

Big John & Kelly. We went on daily walks to explore the island. Did you know that Bill Gates & his parents have houses on Shaw?

One afternoon, we caught a ferry over to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island.

At the Shaw landing, this sign lets you know where the next ferry is going. The Orcas landing is just a 10 minute trip from Shaw but Friday Harbor takes about an hour.

We had a nice afternoon of lunch at the Cask & Schooner and some provision shopping in Friday Harbor. We picked up this neat print of a black lab holding a beer!

For the most part, the weather was in the 60's & low 70's each day. Quite the contrast from the rest of the country. On the ferry back back to Shaw, we saw whales!
